Head over to these bars and restaurants in Makati’s gastronomic melting pot!
The area may have been known as the Red Light District of Makati; however, there are a whole lot of cool places in Poblacion that are slowly changing the scene. From a fancy restaurant to budget-friendly grub, a coffee shop to a reggae bar, there’s just so much to discover lately apart from the already established street food originals in the area (we’re looking at you, El Chupacabra!), with locals playfully dubbing it “Williamsburgos.” We’re pretty sure you’ve got your own list of favorites already, but here are additional new and and not-so-new joints that those in-the-know are loving and raving about!
Holy Smokes BBQ
Got an appetite for all things meaty? This industrial-themed restaurant serves flavorful Texas-style smoked meats fit for any occasion. Try out their pasta or the gooey grilled cheese sandwich for a snack, then don’t forget to have dessert!
